Singapore, July 12th 2012 – Leading travel metasearch site, Wego.com has signed a global partnership agreement with Etihad Airways, the fastest growing network carrier in aviation history and the national airline of the United Arab Emirates.

The deal gives Wego users full access with last seat availability to Etihad Airways‘ fares and inventory online with the option to book at www.etihadairways.com.  Over the last 12 months the number of referrals from Wego to travel agent websites to book Etihad Airways’ fares has more than tripled, with particularly strong growth registered from Singapore and Indonesia.

The integration builds on the hundreds of travel partners Wego has around the world, and supports the company’s focus on expanding its network in the Middle East. As Dean Wicks, Chief Marketing Officer & VP Airline Relations at Wego commented:

“Searches on Wego sites for routes via Abu Dhabi have climbed dramatically as Etihad Airways has extended its network and travellers have become more aware of their competitive fares and premium service.  We are delighted to have this award-winning carrier integrated directly within our search engine.”

Etihad Airways now flies directly from Abu Dhabi to 87 passenger and cargo destinations in 55 countries, including Bangkok, Beijing, Brisbane, Chennai, Chicago, Frankfurt, Geneva, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, Manila, Melbourne, Moscow, Mumbai, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
