Men More Likely Than Women to Pick Travel Destinations Based on Food

Food has a much stronger influence on men than women when it comes to selecting travel destinations, suggests a new survey from Asian metasearch site Wego.

The site surveyed 300 travelers from Singapore and Malaysia to see how much food influenced their travel decisions. More than half of all respondents, or 58 percent, said they pick destinations based on food.

Foodie tourism is a growing global trend, and this quick survey gives a snapshot of how its influence changes based on demographics in one region.
