Funds to take Wego to more places

Start-ups trying to raise more than $5 million should call on an investment bank to help with the complex processes that usually accompany such large deals, says Wego entrepreneur Ross Veitch.

Big cash injections often involve finding several investors and devising a structure that satisfies all partners, said the co-founder of the Singapore-based travel search engine.

Mr Veitch speaks from experience. He recently used the Raine Group investment bank to raise US$17million (S$21.7million) in what is called series C funding, used for business expansion.
